Dear GTEC, thank you for your support in agape and prayers for the Walk With Jesus #12. This walk reached and touched the lives of 10 special walkers as they participated in this special weekend. We even had 3 former walkers come and serve on the team and that is really special for them.

During this walk, there wer many blessings like seeing a 20 year old girl with Cerebral Palsy worship and celebrate God’s love in her life. We often look at the outside and wonder how God can use people with special needs and often all we have to do is ask. While this #@*%! lady may have different challenges to overcome in her life, her voice is one thing I would love to hear praising God in worship.

Again, the team thanks you for your support and prayers. The plans are to bring this walk over to our area and share God’s grace with those who may need a little extra help in hearing God’s call in their life. Please be in prayer as we work on developing this walk.

JOURNEY FLIGHTS -- Committee Forming
-- Journey is a presentation of Chrysalis talks and flight for college age men and women (age 19-24). The Board has voted to fund the first two flights. We are forming a sub-committee to begin planning those flights. The first Journey meeting will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church in Orange, Tx on May 17th 2008 at 7:00 p.m. If you are interested, come. All are invited. For more information contact Chad VanDevender or Harry Cronk. If you need directions to the church, contact Paul Guidry.

Dear Members of the GTEC,
The June walk is fast approaching, as it is only nine weeks away. Wow! Seems like only yesterday when I was first asked to serve. I can hardly wait until June 29th @ 4:00 pm (closing) to here the responses of the pilgrims God has called and will call to the walk. Thats right! The walk is not full and there is plenty of room for more pilgrims. The team is also not full so send in your application if you want to serve. The first team meeting is May 10th and then on May17th and 31st, and finally June 14th.
Please pray for team completion and a full walk (36 pilgrims)....and for team formation at team meetings as well as the walk itself, which will be Jun 26th-29th.
Hope to see you at send off on Thursday June 26th (6:00pm) or at candlelight Saturday June 28th (8:00pm) or at closing Sunday June 29th (4:00pm).
